"Coaching with Tanya has really built my confidence."  (client HM)

my background

I am a relatively new practitioner – and really enjoying my new career choice.

I bring over 30 years of sector experience to my arts and charity coaching.

I originally worked in the arts as a publicist - for the London Symphony Orchestra, Bristol Old Vic and Greenwich theatres and with London Contemporary Dance Theatre.

I then moved into the charity sector, gaining significant senior management and board experience – including for charities working in homelessness, human rights and mental health such as The Mental Health Foundation.  I have worked in small sheltered workshops, to major charities such as St Mungo's.  I am experienced in change management, senior leadership, fundraising, policy, communications and service provision.   Most recently I was a transformative Chair for Anti-Slavery International.

I am now a trained coach and counsellor.  I have benefitted from coaching myself - including when taking up a major new career role, for managing a long term health condition, and whilst setting up a new business.

my clients' backgrounds

My clients have ranged from people in their first management role, to people with many years of CEO leadership experience.

I have worked with clients across the age, race, class, religion, sexuality and gender spectrum.  LGQT+

my training

a unique approach - 'personal consultancy'

I trained in a pioneering course - that uniquely integrates across a number of different counselling theories (Person Centred,  Psychodynamic, Existential, Gestalt, Solution Focussed, CBT etc) whilst adding coaching emphatically into the mix.

I believe it is still the only course of its type in the country.  It is lead by the inspirational Nash Popovic at the University of East London.  This innovative course makes me fully trained in integrative counselling and coaching, and a 'Personal Consultant'.

It also means I am a fully registered member of BACP - the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and a member of its  specialist coaching division.  You are in safe hands!
